Oh and real quick, if you want to get some of these games at a discounted price, check out eneba.com. They are a game key re-seller and offer discounted prices on some of the most popular games.

I have used them in the past and can assure you that Eneba is legit! If you find a game you like, make sure to check them out before buying it. Ok, now onto the list.

1. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2:

  • Platforms Supported: PlayStation, Xbox, PC
  • Price: $70

The absolute classic and era-defining game, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, has been remade for new-gen consoles and the remake is just as great as the original.

The remake takes full advantage of modern technology and supports crossplay across all devices. This includes PC, Xbox (One and S/X), and PlayStation 4 and 5.

If you were a fan of the original Modern Warfare 2 and have as many fond memories of it as I do, then Modern Warfare 2 is a no-brainer.

You can play with your friends, no matter which devices you all own it on, and you can enjoy the campaign or multiplayer matchmaking modes.

2. Fortnite:

  • Platforms Supported: PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, PC, Android
  • Price: Free

Well, you had to see this one coming. Fortnite is one of the most popular games of the last decade and has made so many waves for a number of reasons.

Fortnite made many features extremely popular (for better or worse), whether they be loot boxes, battle passes, or cross-platform play.

Fortnite takes crossplay a step further and makes their game available on Switch and Android mobile devices as well. Fortnite is also free, making it one of the easiest games to play with literally anyone you want!

The battle royale gameplay isn’t for everyone, and Fortnite does get a bad rap in some portions of the gaming community, however, the game is just pure, simple fun, and it’s hard not to have a blast catching dubs with your friends.

3. Call of Duty: Warzone:

  • Platforms Supported: PlayStation, Xbox, PC
  • Price: Free

Warzone is sort of a “mature” version of Fortnite. It still has some crazy skins (Jigsaw and Leatherface, for example.) But overall, the gameplay of Warzone feels a bit closer to traditional First Person Shooters.

This makes sense, of course, since Warzone is a Call of Duty game at heart – it’s just a Battle Royale instead of the usual Team vs Team format.

Warzone is completely free and is actually available on Mobile devices as well! Call of Duty: Warzone is crossplay between Playstation, Xbox, and PC, however, Mobile players can only play with other Mobile players.

This is because the mobile version is actually a different version of the game (although it has similar gameplay.)

4. Apex Legends:

  • Platforms Supported: PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, PC
  • Price: Free

I know, I know, another Battle Royale. Battle Royales are the most popular crossplay games available, so it’s really not surprising that they’re dominating this list so hard.

Apex Legends is a very fun game and one of the most unique battle royales available. Even if you’re not a fan of Fortnite, Warzone, and other battle royales, you may still enjoy Apex Legends.

The game adds a twist on the concept by incorporating unique Legends, all with their own unique abilities and gameplay style. Apex Legends crossplay is fully supported between PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, and PC.

5. Overwatch 2:

  • Platforms Supported: PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, PC
  • Price: Free

Overwatch 2 has fully replaced the original Overwatch and has added in a long-awaited feature – crossplay.

You can play Overwatch 2 with your friends no matter which device you choose to play on, and you can play most game modes as well. However, PC and console players can’t play competitive together.

If you were a fan of the original game (especially in its early versions), then you’ll love Overwatch 2. It feels pretty much the exact same and keeps the entire roster of Overwatch 1. The main difference is that OW2 is 5v5 instead of 6v6.

6. Rocket League:

  • Platforms Supported: PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, PC
  • Price: Free

Rocket League is just pure fun and chaos and never loses its charm even after hundreds of hours of gameplay.

Rocket League is fully crossplay between PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, and PC and feels pretty good on every device.

If you’ve never played Rocket League, I highly recommend convincing one of your friends to download it and try it out with you.

The game is a ton of fun, especially when starting out. Driving your car and trying to hit the ball feels like you’re Bamby taking their first steps, but once you finally score your first goal you’ll be on top of the world.

7. Dead By Daylight:

  • Platforms Supported: PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, PC
  • Price: $20

Dead By Daylight is a horror themed, competitive, asymmetric game. That’s a mouth full, but the gist of it is – Dead By Daylight is a horror game where 4 players compete against a single Killer player.

Every match starts with 7 broken generators around the map, the 4 survivors need to find and fix these generators while the Killer has to find and kill the players before they escape.

Dead By Daylight is fun because there are a ton of killers available, including horror icons like Ghost Face, Michael Myers, Nemesis, and more. There are also plenty of iconic survivors to choose from, all with their own unique loadout.

Dead By Daylight supports full crossplay between devices, and is fun whether you want a casual horror experience, or a unique competitive game.

8. Minecraft (Bedrock Edition):

  • Platforms Supported: PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, PC, Android
  • Price: $29.99

Most people have played or at least heard of Minecraft, but not everyone knows it’s fully crossplay! If you want to play Minecraft cross-platform, you need to purchase the Bedrock Edition.

The Java Edition of Minecraft is only available on PC, so you will not be able to play with anyone except other PC players.

Minecraft sells a bundled edition to PC players with the Bedrock and Java editions, and you can easily switch between them as you desire.

If you haven’t played Minecraft before, I highly recommend giving it a try because it’s one of those games that pretty much everyone will be entertained by.

9. Tower of Fantasy:

  • Platforms Supported: PC, iOS, Android
  • Price: Free

Tower of Fantasy is a very similar game to Genshin Impact. It’s an MMO-RPG game where you can create your own character or play a number of pre-made characters.

You can also find and equip powerful weapons and upgrade your character(s) as you play. The game is free to play, however it has a ton of microtransactions and gacha (loot box) mechanics.

With that being said, it’s still playable without spending a dime, it just takes a ton of grinding. Some players really enjoy this grind, though, so if you’re the type then Tower of Fantasy may be for you!

10. Genshin Impact:

  • Platforms Supported: PlayStation, PC, Android
  • Price: Free

Genshin Impact is the open world gacha MMORPG of the decade and practically launched gacha games into the mainstream gaming world.

Genshin Impact is an MMO and has all of the great things that come with MMOs – powering up your characters, loot, bad guys, etc.

The game is very grindy, just like Tower of Fantasy, but it is playable without paying a single dime. Battling is very fun and stimulating, and pulling really good characters always feels awesome, so it’s definitely a game worth trying out if you don’t mind the grind.

11. Smite:

  • Platforms Supported: PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, PC
  • Price: Free

If you’re a fan of MOBAs like League of Legends and DOTA 2, or you just really enjoy games where you can play as mythological Gods (in Avatar the Last Airbender costumes, on occasion), then you’ll love Smite.

Smite is a 3rd person MOBA, which makes it very unique. It has wildly different gameplay from League and DOTA, despite being in the same genre.

Being in 3rd person also allows Smite to be crossplay, so you can play it with friends on PlayStation, Xbox, PC, and even the Nintendo Switch.

12. Final Fantasy XIV:

  • Platforms Supported: PlayStation, PC
  • Price: Free + $12.99 monthly

Final Fantasy XIV is one of the best MMORPGs of all time. It’s right up there with World of Warcraft, and many players prefer Final Fantasy to WoW.

Final Fantasy XIV offers a no-restriction trial up to level 60, but after that you will have to pay a monthly fee plus purchase the expansions (about $40.)

Final Fantasy XIV is fun enough to give the free trial a shot. The story is awesome, and the game has a ton of depth. It supports crossplay between  PC, PS4, and PS5 as well, so you can easily find some people to play with!

13. Destiny 2:

  • Platforms Supported: PlayStation, Xbox, PC
  • Price: Free

Destiny 2 is pretty much a Halo / MMORPG hybrid. If you enjoy the aesthetics and gameplay of Halo – the armor, the weapons, the gunplay and traditional MMORPG mechanics – leveling up, gear upgrades, character upgrades, skills, loot, Dungeons, etc., then you will love Destiny 2.

The base game is free, but you should know there are many expansions in the game that you will have to pay for if you want to play them.

The game is super fun with friends though, and has something for everyone, whether you like PvE or PvP.

14. Halo Infinite:

  • Platforms Supported: Xbox, PC
  • Price: Free

Halo Infinite has gotten a ton of flack because of its Battle Pass and monetization strategies. However, the game itself is actually extremely fun and feels like the classic Halo gameplay.

The gunplay feels crisp and polished, and there are a few really fun game modes, especially with friends. My one complaint is that the game does get old fairly fast.

There’s pretty much no way to get new cosmetics without purchasing them and things can get repetitive very fast.

However, I keep Halo Infinite in my Steam library for the occasions that me and my Xbox friends want to play a fun game for a couple of hours.

15. Sea of Thieves:

  • Platforms Supported: Xbox, PC
  • Price: $39.99 or Free with Xbox Game Pass

I recently tried Sea of Thieves on the Xbox Game Pass and actually had a lot of fun. If you’re into pirates at all or are interested in the idea of sailing across a huge ocean full of enemy pirates, islands, monsters, and treasure, then I can’t recommend Sea of Thieves enough.

Sea of Thieves is pretty much a PvP MMO. You can’t turn PvP off and you are never safe. If you sail around and collect 20 treasure chests, you have to be on high alert so that someone doesn’t come and sink your ship and take yer hard earned booty.

Sea of Thieves is crossplay between Xbox, Gamepass, and Steam, so feel free to pick it up wherever you want.

16. Forza Horizon 5:

  • Platforms Supported: Xbox, PC
  • Price: $59.99 or Free with Xbox Game Pass

Forza is one of the best racing game series ever created. If you’re a racing or car enthusiast, you’ll love Forza Horizon 5. It’s completely crossplay between Xbox consoles and Microsoft Windows PCs.

The game is $59.99 but can be played for free with the Xbox Game Pass (monthly fee).

17. Overcooked! All You Can Eat:

  • Platforms Supported: PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, PC
  • Price: $39.99

Overcooked! Is an incredibly fun party game. The game is a chaotic, puzzle, co-op game based around cooking cuisines from around the world.

In Overcooked, you and your friends pretty much run around and try to manage a kitchen together, cooking (and burning) food, serving it, etc.

There are hundreds of levels to experience, and the All You Can Eat edition is fully cross-platform between PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, and PC.

18. No Man’s Sky:

  • Platforms Supported: PlayStation, Xbox, PC
  • Price: $59.99

No Man’s Sky’s release was one of the most botched releases in gaming history (at least recent history.) The game was absolutely hated by gamers across the spectrum and returned to stores in hordes.

However, what many gamers don’t realize is that No Man’s Sky has had constant, extreme updates since its release and has since become one of the most fun, imaginative multiplayer games available.

The game is now well-worth the price and even better you can probably find some good deals on it.

19. Back 4 Blood:

  • Platforms Supported: PlayStation, Xbox, PC
  • Price: $59.99

Back 4 Blood has been marketed as the spiritual successor to the Left 4 Dead franchise and has lived up to that marketing.

The game really feels like a modern Left 4 Dead game, it has the same gameplay, the same atmosphere, etc.

There are some differences and die hard Left 4 Dead fans may not enjoy the game as much, but overall Back 4 Blood is a fun game to just blast some zombies in.

Crossplay is fully supported between Playstation, Xbox, and PC which makes it easy to find a friend to play with.

20. Ark: Survival Evolved:

  • Platforms Supported: Xbox, PC
  • Price: $19.99

Ark: Survival Evolved is an open-world, multiplayer survival game where you tame dinosaurs and use them as minions, transport, resource gatherers, etc.

The concept is extremely cool and is executed to perfection. Ark is available on many platforms and is crossplay between generations.

However, the only console crossplay available is between Xbox and PC. So, PlayStation players cannot play with PC players or Xbox players, for example.

21. Fall Guys:

  • Platforms Supported: PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, PC
  • Price: Free

Fall Guys is pretty much Mario Party meets battle royale. You create a little bean character, party up with your friends, and then join a game where you compete with 60 players in multiple rounds of single elimination mini games until only one Bean is left.

There are obstacle courses, soccer matches, keep away games, and many other fun games. You can play as a team with your friends, or play in a full free-for-all mode where it’s every bean for themselves.

The game is fun, goofy, and chaotic, and has full crossplay support so you can play with your friends on any console.

22. Gears 5:

  • Platforms Supported: Xbox, PC
  • Price: $39.99

Gears 5 is the newest Gears of War game and doesn’t stray from the originals at all. It’s a violent, gore-filled, third person shooter.

Gears 5 has a captivating, intense story that you can play cooperatively with friends across Xbox consoles and the PC.

Gears 5 also has a very competitive multiplayer mode for when you want to chainsaw real players in half with your Lancer.

There’s also Horde mode, which is sort of like a super violent, PvE Tower Defense game, so Gears 5 has something for everyone.

23. Secret Neighbor:

  • Platforms Supported: PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, PC
  • Price: $19.99

Secret Neighbor is the multiplayer missing link between Hello Neighbor and Hello Neighbor 2. Secret neighbor is a deception game with seven players.

Six of the players are trying to find keys and rescue their friend from the basement, while one player is secretly trying to defeat the other six players.

If you’re into deception games like Among Us, then Secret Neighbor is a must-play. It supports crossplay between PC and every console and is a great way to destroy the trust between you and your friends.

24. Grounded:

  • Platforms Supported: Xbox, PC
  • Price: $39.99

Grounded is a survival game with a little twist (sorry.) If you’ve seen the old movie, Honey I Shrunk The Kids, then Grounded takes that premise and turns it into an open world survival game.

In Grounded, you can fight giant ants, create armor, and build a base out of twigs and leaves with your friends. It’s a super fun twist on the multiplayer survival genre.

Do note, though, that to play Grounded crossplay between Xbox and PC, the PC player needs to have the Xbox app installed on their computer.

25. Borderlands 3:

  • Platforms Supported: PlayStation, Xbox, PC
  • Price: $59.99

Borderlands 3 has a very unique style and extremely unique gameplay. Borderlands was one of the first games to incorporate RPG mechanics into a first person shooter, and Borderlands 3 is the result of years of refining that concept.

If you like Borderlands, you’ll like Borderlands 3. If you’ve never played Borderlands, but enjoy first person shooters, RPG mechanics like leveling up and skill trees, and crude, goofy humor that doesn’t take itself seriously, then you’ll enjoy Borderlands 3.

You can also enjoy the story with friends across PC, Xbox, and PlayStation devices.

26. Black Desert Online:

  • Platforms Supported: Xbox, PlayStation
  • Price: $9.99

Black Desert Online is crossplay between Xbox and PlayStation only. It’s available on Steam / PC as well, but you won’t be able to play with console players.

Black Desert Online is an MMORPG based completely around freedom. You can spend your time fighting monsters and clearing dungeons.

Or you can spend your time taming wild horses, training them, and breeding them so you can sell their offspring for profit.

Maybe you’d rather be a fisherman? You can spend 1,000 hours in Black Desert Online while barely touching the story, and it’s even more fun with friends.

27. MultiVersus:

  • Platforms Supported: PlayStation, Xbox, PC
  • Price: Free

MutliVersus is a fighting game very similar to Super Smash Bros. or Brawlhalla. If you like Smash Bros, but can’t play it with your friends due to one of you not having the Switch, then MultiVersus is the game for you.

It has very similar fighting mechanics, is free-to-play, fully cross-platform, and contains many awesome characters from a variety of popular franchises.

Some notable characters in MultiVersus are: Bugs Bunny, Rick and Morty, Tom and Jerry, Arya Stark, Shaggy, Batman, Superman, Finn and Jake, Lebron James, and many more.

28. Pokemon Unite:

  • Platforms Supported: Mobile, Switch
  • Price: Free

Pokemon Unite is another unique MOBA game, in the same style as League of Legends, DOTA 2, and Smite. Pokemon Unite is much more casual than those games, though, and is very casual / beginner friendly.

If you’re a fan of Pokemon, you’ll love Pokemon Unite. The games are very fast paced and only take about 10 minutes to play and the game is free, so there’s not much to hate on.

It’s simple enough to pick up and play, but also competitive enough to try-hard in Ranked mode without feeling bad about it!

29. Deep Rock Galactic:

  • Platforms Supported: Xbox, PC
  • Price: $29.99

Deep Rock Galactic is a Rogue-lite, co-op game where you and your friends play as Dwarves working for a mineral mining company.

You’ll be sent into a procedurally generated dungeon with a main mission and some randomly generated side missions.

Usually you’ll have to find and mine a specific mineral, but sometimes you’ll have to capture alien eggs or even defend your mining rig from monsters.

If you enjoy getting lost in Minecraft caves and fighting off monsters while mining valuable material, you’ll feel right at home in Deep Rock Galactic.

30. PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG):

  • Platforms Supported: Xbox, PlayStation
  • Price: Free

PUBG was one of the first battle royales and is a certified classic. Unfortunately, it falls so far down on this list because it’s still fairly buggy and the poor optimization gets old after a few hours of play.

However, PUBG is still a fun game to pick up and play for a couple of hours at a time, and I definitely recommend it to fans of the battle royale genre.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is available on PC, but PC is not crossplay compatible with Xbox and PlayStation consoles. However, it is crossplay compatible between Xbox and PlayStation consoles.

31. Among Us:

  • Platforms Supported: PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, PC, Android
  • Price: $4.99

I’m sure you’ve heard of Among Us by now because it literally became an overnight sensation and has sprung hundreds of thousands of memes.

It also has found its way into numerous mainstream media outlets. It even spawned the new slang word – (sus). Among Us is a deception game at its heart though.

You are dropped into a ship with many other players. Every player has to run around and do their tasks as fast as possible to save the ship. There’s just one problem – one (or two) of the players is secretly a traitor.

The traitor will run around pretending to do tasks like everyone else, but if you find yourself alone with them, then you might as well make funeral arrangements because you’re already dead.

Among Ss is completely crossplay across PC, Mobile, Xbox, Switch, and PlayStation. It’s a ton of fun if you can get a group of 5+ friends together to play, but it’s still fun with randos.

32. War Thunder:

  • Platforms Supported: PC, Mac, PlayStation, Xbox
  • Price: Free

War Thunder is a fun twist on MMO and War games. You don’t control a single character like you do in Call of Duty, instead you control a warship, plane, tank, or any other number of armored vehicles.

War Thunder is a military MMO, cross platform game full of huge battles on land, in the air, and at sea. War Thunder battles are huge and they’re intense.

It’s a little similar to World of Tanks, except War Thunder is a bit more intuitive and easier to pick up. The game looks great, it’s fully cross platform, but you will have to enable it.

Do be warned though, there is a lot of grinding required in this game because the economy is pretty unforgiving.

If that’s your thing, you’ll love it. If you don’t have a lot of time to grind, you’ll still enjoy the battles for what they are but the game can get frustrating.

33. Rust:

  • Platforms Supported: Xbox, PlayStation
  • Price: $39.99

Rust is only crossplay between Xbox and Playstation players, but it is available on PC as well.

Rust is an all-time classic. It is one of the most well-known open world survival games and has a mix of PvP, PvE, Faction fighting, base building, and a number of other elements that make it great.

Rust is one of those games where your experience will be completely unique every time you open it up. You start out naked and have to find resources to dress yourself and build a base.

You can team up with other players and join their faction, form alliances to raid the big boys in town, do PvE events to boost your loot, or just play Poker in the center of the map.

34. Farming Simulator 22:

  • Platforms Supported: PlayStation, Xbox, PC, Mac
  • Price: $39.99

Alright if you’ve never played a simulator before then Farming Simulator 22 may sound extremely boring to you.

However, I promise that it can be one of the most rewarding games that you will ever play. The game has a ton of depth and your options for managing and taking care of your farm are practically limitless.

The game can get pretty boring playing alone (after hundreds of hours, at least), but if you can find a good friend or two to play with then it quickly becomes one of the best games ever.

Even if you’re not into farming (I’m not), Farming Simulator 22 still becomes very addicting very fast, and you will not regret picking it up.

35. MARVEL SNAP:

  • Platforms Supported: Android, iOS, PC
  • Price: Free

MARVEL SNAP is a card game based in the Marvel Universe. If you’re a fan of card games like Hearthstone or of the Marvel franchise, then you’ll probably love MARVEL SNAP.

Ben Brode, one of the early directors of Hearthstone, helped make MARVEL SNAP what it is. It’s extremely fast-paced, well-balanced, and is one of the very few competitive card games that is not pay to win.

In fact, one of the only things you can really pay for is alternate card art. The game supports crossplay between Android, iOS, and PC and is a ton of fun.

There’s enough strategy to keep you entertained while not dragging out games for too long.

36. Hearthstone:

  • Platforms Supported: Android, iOS, Mac, PC
  • Price: Free

Hearthstone is probably the most popular online card game ever. Its popularity is well-deserved too. If you’re a fan of card games like Magic: The Gathering, then you’ll feel at home with Hearthstone.

The mechanics are very different, but the concepts are the same. There are control decks, aggro decks, mid-range decks, and everything in between. Hearthstone has had one problem throughout its lifetime, and that is the cost factor.

However, Blizzard has recently been taking some very free-to-play friendly steps, making Hearthstone more accessible to everyone, no matter how big their wallet is.

It’s a fun game, with great art, and I recommend everyone give it a try on their computer or phone.

37. Project Zomboid:

  • Platforms Supported: PC, Mac
  • Price: $19.99

Project Zomboid is the best zombie / post apocalyptic survival simulator available and has been since its launch.

Project Zomboid has so much depth that it can be easy to become overwhelmed, however the base concepts are pretty intuitive and you’ll learn everything as you play.

Create a fully-customed survivor with stats and backgrounds of your choice. Maybe you want an alcoholic firefighter, maybe you’d rather be a doctor that participates in triathlons, but also has asthma.

The choices are endless. Once you create a character, you have to loot, fight zombies, read, and survive in a realistic apocalypse.

Project Zomboid is very easy to get lost in, and one of the best ways to experience a realistic zombie apocalypse with your friends!

38. Brawlhalla:

  • Platforms Supported: PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, PC, Android, iOS
  • Price: Free

Brawlhalla is similar to Multiversus and is one of the first Super Smash Bros. “clones”. Although, Brawlhalla has a few twists that make it feel very unique.

Choose a hero to play as, choose their weapon, and fight online across every platform imaginable (PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, PC, Android, and iOS.)

The weapons in Brawlhalla are the main reason the game stands out from Smash and Multiversus. The fighting mechanics still feel similar enough, though, that if you’re a fan of Smash you’ll be able to pick Brawlhalla right up.

It’s free, so you might as well give it a try!

39. 7 Days To Die:

  • Platforms Supported: Xbox, PlayStation
  • Price: $24.99

7 Days To Die is only crossplay between Xbox and PlayStation, but it is available on PC as well.

7 Days To Die is another zombie apocalypse simulation, except this one is more focused on being a fun Sandbox / tower defense game.

The goal of the game is to group up with your friends, build a base, and then defend it with everything you have.

There’s a ton of crafting, character upgrades, etc. that ensure you can play the game exactly how you want to.

40. Halo: The Master Chief Collection:

  • Platforms Supported: Xbox, PC
  • Price: $39.99

Halo: The Master Chief Collection is a collection of the classic Halo games, all bundled into one. It’s a must-buy if you’re a fan of the original franchise.

The multiplayer has been revamped and has many classic game modes that are missing from Halo Infinite (Grifball for example).

Multiplayer matchmaking, Firefight, and Forge are all cross-platform compatible between Xbox and PC, but unfortunately the story mode / campaign is not.

41. Mortal Kombat 11:

  • Platforms Supported: PlayStation, Xbox
  • Price: $49.99

Mortal Kombat 11 is available on pretty much all consoles, but is only crossplay compatible between PlayStation and Xbox consoles. If you get the game on PC, you cannot play with players on console.

Mortal Kombat is one of the most iconic fighting games to ever be created. It’s violent, competitive, and fun. If you enjoyed the originals, then you’ll probably enjoy Mortal Kombat 11 as well.

Especially if violence was one of the selling points for you. MK11 has fantastic graphics, crisp gameplay, and well-worth the price if you’re into fighting games.

42. Street Fighter V:

  • Platforms Supported: PlayStation, PC
  • Price: $19.99

Street Fighter V is probably the most famous fighting game ever, and Street Fighter V does an excellent job of maintaining the classic gameplay while still staying fresh.

If you’re a competitive gamer, you’ll love Street Fighter because the game’s strategy and techniques have been refined over literal decades.

Street Fighter V is completely cross-platform between PlayStation and PC, and neither platform offers a competitive advantage.

43. Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel:

  • Platforms Supported: PlayStation, Xbox, Switch
  • Price: Free

I personally have a ton of nostalgia for Yu-Gi-Oh! And I’m always down to try a new Yu-Gi-Oh! Game.

Unfortunately, our only option until now has been Duel Links, which isn’t traditional Yu-Gi-Oh! And has a ton of paywalls.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel, on the other hand, is actually very free-to-play friendly and is the best way to play the card game digitally.

The game makes a lot of its money through cosmetics and allows you to grind out the currency necessary to build the decks you want.

You won’t be able to build every deck you want right from the start, but putting together a new meta deck doesn’t take too long.

Master Duel is completely cross platform between the consoles that it is available on and even has a ranked mode for competitive Yu-Gi-Oh players to enjoy!

44. Battlefield 2042:

  • Platforms Supported: Xbox, PlayStation, PC
  • Price: $59.99

Battlefield 2042 is a completely multiplayer focused game, so if you’re looking for a campaign mode, I’d probably head over to Call of Duty.

Battlefield 2042 has pretty decent gunplay and is a fun first person shooter. The price tag is a little steep, considering there are quite a few bugs, but if you can find it on sale I’d recommend picking it up and trying it out with some of your friends.

45. Halo Wars 2:

  • Platforms Supported: Xbox, PC
  • Price: Only Available through Game Pass ($9.99 / month)

Halo Wars 2 is an RTS, similar to games like Starcraft and Warcraft, except it’s based in the Halo universe.

So you can control your Spartan army, manage the vehicles, and send your troops around a battlefield in real time to outmatch your opponent.

If you have a friend to play with, Halo Wars 2 is one of the most fun RTS experiences out there (coming from a SC2 nerd).

If you don’t have a friend, the multiplayer is still pretty alive (the crossplay helps), so you can always test your mantle against other players or the campaign.

46. NBA 2K Playgrounds 2:

  • Platforms Supported: Xbox, Switch, PC
  • Price: $29.99

NBA 2k Playgrounds 2 is pretty much an NBA Jam clone on steroids. The game is a ton of fun and doesn’t take itself too seriously.

The mechanics are polished and the game has everything you could possibly want in a basketball arcade game.

It’s even more fun with friends, which is great because NBA 2k Playgrounds 2 fully supports Xbox / Switch / PC crossplay.

47. Quake:

  • Platforms Supported: PC, Xbox, PlayStation, Switch
  • Price: $9.99

Quake is one of the most iconic and influential first person shooters to ever be released.

It is the original multiplayer first person shooter, and the developers even released the original engine long ago, which has since spawned countless other great games. This piece of history is still playable and it’s still awesome.

Quake is completely cross platform, and despite its retro look and feel, the game is just as fun as any first person shooter released in the 21st century.

48. Aragami:

  • Platforms Supported: PC, Xbox
  • Price: $19.99

Aragami is on pretty much every console, but crossplay is only supported between Xbox and PC players. If you get the game on Switch or Playstation, you will have to play with players on your same console.

Aragami is one of the best stealth games ever made. It truly makes you feel like a ninja hiding in the shadows. The art style is super unique and playing Aragami in co-op mode is extremely intense and fun.

49. Aragami 2

  • Platforms Supported: PC, Xbox
  • Price: $34.99

I know I just talked about Aragami, but I had to mention the sequel as well. The sequel is not as fun as the original, in my opinion, but it’s still well worth a playthrough if you have a friend that you like to roleplay as secret ninja assassins with.

Just like before, the game is available across consoles, but crossplay is only supported between Xbox and PC players.

50. World of Tanks Blitz:

  • Platforms Supported: PC, iOS, Android
  • Price: Free

World of Tanks Blitz puts you inside of historically accurate WW2 era tanks, and lets you loose. World of Tanks Blitz is similar to the original World of Tanks, except it takes itself a little less seriously.

It has goofy skins and a more arcade-game feel to it than the original. It’s a lot of fun, and fully crossplay between PC and mobile devices, so it’s worth a try!

Now let’s touch on some questions that gamers looking for cross platform games commonly ask.

Can PC Players Play With Console Players?

PC players can play with console players as long as the game they are playing allows cross platform play. These games allow PC players to play with Xbox, Playstation, and Switch players. Not every game is crossplay, but the feature is getting more popular.

The Xbox store / Game Pass is a great place to look for crossplay games. Although, you’ll mostly find games for PC and Xbox players.

There are games out there, like Fall Guys, that let players play together no matter what console they are playing on; PC, Xbox, Playstation, or Switch.

Can Mobile Players Play With PC & Console Players?

Mobile players can play with PC and console gamers; however, there are not many games that support crossplay between mobile players and PC / console players. Among Us, Fortnite, and card games like Hearthstone are the most popular games with crossplay between mobile and PC / console players.

Many games, like Call of Duty: Warzone, support crossplay for every console except the mobile version. This is due to how limited mobile devices are.

Can Xbox, Playstation, & Nintendo Switch Players Play Together?

Xbox, Playstation, and Nintendo Switch players can all play together as long as the game they are playing allows crossplay. Games like Overwatch 2 and Genshin Impact support crossplay between all consoles, so players can play with each other no matter what console they play on.

Not all games support crossplay, but there are many that support it between consoles. Usually, if a game’s going to be crossplay, it’s going to include every console.

Games like Fall Guys and Apex Legends support crossplay completely, even with players on the Switch. Usually crossplay is as easy as inviting the player to your lobby before you start playing, but it depends on the game.

What Are Cross-Gen Games?

Cross-gen games are games that are released on multiple generations of the same console and support multiplayer gaming between those consoles. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, for example, is available on Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S consoles. Players can play together no matter which console they own.

Cross-gen gaming is really starting to pick up lately, but I expect to see it more and more as the years roll on and technology becomes better.

What Is Cross-Network Play?

Cross-network play is another name for cross-platform play and it means that the game can be played between different consoles (Xbox players can play with Playstation players, for example.) When games have a “cross-network” option, they are allowing you to disable cross-platform matchmaking if desired.

Some games let you decide who you play with and they usually put the option in cross-network or crossplay settings.

Basically you can say “I only want to play with players on my console”. Some players prefer this because they believe other consoles will have a competitive advantage, and they want to have a more balanced gaming experience.

Are Cross-Play And Cross-Platforms Games The Same Thing?

Cross-play and cross-platform games are the same thing. The terms are interchangeable and they are referring to games that allow players to play together across different devices (PC players can play with Xbox players, for example.) Notable examples are Fortnite and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II.

Whether a game is called cross-play or cross-platform basically comes down to marketing, but there is really no difference. You can use whichever term you want to describe games that can be played across different devices.

Why Don’t All Games Have Cross Platform?

The main reason not all games have cross platform capabilities is because different devices have different hardware and certain game functions have to be implemented differently. This makes it hard to develop crossplay network code, therefore some developers choose to leave crossplay out of games completely.

Crossplay is getting more common nowadays, and while crossplay across every game would be great, there are a few reasons why we aren’t seeing it yet:

  • Server Limitations: Smaller game developers just can’t really afford the server space to handle players across every device, so they just release the game for one or two devices and limit the multiplayer.
  • Game Engine Limitations: Many modern game engines support crossplay, but this hasn’t always been the case. It’s easier than ever to add crossplay, but games that are developed on older engines would require a ton of dev power to add it in.
  • Device Advantages: Many players believe that PC players have an advantage due to their limitless hardware upgrades. On top of this, mouse / keyboard is generally better for first person shooters, so some developers leave crossplay out so no one can exploit this advantage.
  • Profits: Finally, Xbox, Sony, and Nintendo want you to buy their console, and leaving crossplay out is a great way to entice you and your friends to all buy the same console. Again, crossplay is becoming more popular, which is great for us, so it seems that these companies have changed their mind on the subject.

I play tons of crossplay games since my friends are on tons of different devices. I hope my list of cross platform game is able to help you find one you enjoy.
