1. Audioengine A2+ Plus Wireless Speaker

Pros

  • Very loud speakers
  • Good cable lengths
  • Wireless (Bluetooth)
  • Durable and long lasting
  • Excellent sound quality
  • Nice size – not too big, not too small

Cons

  • No subwoofer
  • Bit on the expensive side

Overview

The Audioengine A2+ speakers are absolutely fantastic. They’re durable, high quality desktop speakers that will fill your room with sound at only 25% of their max volume.

They’re pretty much everything you could want in a set of PC speakers. They have a fantastic color, with a white outer shell and dark black speakers.

Last, but certainly not least, they’re wireless. Although I’d probably avoid using Bluetooth and just hook up the cables since that will give the best sound quality.

This set of speakers is one of the more expensive sets on this list, but they’re definitely worth the price. As far as speakers go, they’re really not too bad on the price point either, especially for the sound quality that they provide.

They shockingly do not have a subwoofer built-in, so you’ll need an external one that’s compatible with these speakers if you want that bass to rock the place.

All in all though, these are the speakers to get. They sound great, they look great, and they’re loud. They’ll make gaming, streaming, music production, etc. all much more enjoyable and they’re perfect for any PC setup.

2. Edifier G2000 32W

Pros

  • Edifier is a high end brand for quality speakers
  • Good price for Edifier speakers
  • Nice sleek aesthetic (white with light blue LED)
  • Great Sound
  • Loud
  • Small and compact to fit on any desk

Cons

  • AUX input seems to have a “cackle” problem
  • If left idle for short amount of time – will have to wake them up to use them
  • Poor packaging
  • Short Cables so need to be close to your PC
  • Needs external subwoofer, not much bass

Overview

The Edifier G2000 lands at number two on this list because you really can’t beat the amount of bang you get for your buck with these speakers.

First of all, Edifier is a very well-known and trusted brand when it comes to speakers, and they make fantastic gaming and home speakers alike.

The G2000s were made specifically for gaming, so they do a great job of fitting the “gamer” aesthetic. The LEDs are in a great spot and they’re light blue to match the pure white case of the speakers.

These Edifiers are also small enough to fit pretty much wherever you need them. The size comes at a price though, since the cords are also a little on the short side, which can make setup a pain for some people.

Aesthetics only matter so much when it comes to speakers, though, and the sound is what is really important. And the Edifier G2000s sound fantastic.

As I mentioned, Edifier is the brand to get if you care about sound quality and the G2000s do not disappoint.

My one gripe is that there is no built-in subwoofer (despite the store page making it seem like they have one). So if you’re a bass head, you’re going to want an external woofer with these speakers.

3. Kanto YU2 PC Gaming Desktop Speakers

Pros

  • High quality sounds
  • Very loud
  • Many colors to choose from (including white, of course)
  • Compatible with any powered Subwoofer
  • 100W Peak Power (50 Watts Total RMS)
  • Small enough for any desk
  • USB and Jack work at the same time making switching between devices easy
  • Durable and last years

Cons

  • Quality assurance seems to be slightly lacking
  • LED can be distracting
  • Bass leaves a little to be desired without EQ software

Overview

Out of the box these speakers are going to be perfect for most people. They’re loud and they sound amazing.

Some people will want a little more bass from them, which means you’ll need to use some EQ software or buy a compatible subwoofer.

Luckily these are compatible with most powered subwoofers, although I’d recommend grabbing one from a brand that you know will work best.

None of the cons with these speakers really pertain to the sound quality. The sound is loud and excellent. One con I’ve noticed when researching is that a few people have had to return their first set due to poor quality control.

Either the speaker had some external damage or some faulty cables. However, once you get a working set, these speakers are fantastic.

The LED is a little bright and can’t be turned off, but whether that’s a good thing or not comes down to preference.

4. Logitech Multimedia Speakers Z200

Pros

  • High quality sound
  • Good volume
  • Good value
  • Great for gaming, Youtube, etc.
  • Great aesthetic and very compact
  • Long wires

Cons

  • No built-in treble/bass control (expected at this price, though)
  • Not great for sound engineers / audiophiles

Overview

This is just a nice set of speakers made by Logitech and will work perfectly for 90% of people. They’re not bulky at all and will fit on most computer setups.

The wire is long enough to reach wherever you need the speakers to go, so these have a high quality of life. The sound and volume are also both excellent.

Your walls won’t be vibrating or anything, but at this price point you’ll be very hard pressed to find any speakers with bass that will.

Overall, these are well worth the price. They look nice and they get the job done. I’d say they pretty much fit their price perfectly. They really do sound excellent and can get very loud.

If you’re not a music producer or audiophile of some kind, I think you’d be very hard pressed to find an issue with these speakers, especially at this price!

5. Edifier G1000 USB Computer Speakers

Pros

  • Very compact size easily fits most desktop setups
  • Sleek and modern aesthetic
  • Immersive and high quality sound
  • Great speakers for gaming
  • Good sound quality for the size

Cons

  • Not as loud as expected at max volume
  • Cannot turn off LED light
  • Bit of a “hollow” sound due to the speaker enclosure

Overview

I’m usually not the biggest fan of anything labeled as a “Gaming” device, but these speakers are a pretty good exception. Overall, they’re just good, compact speakers that will be fine for everyday use.

If you’re an audiophile or want something with extremely high quality sound at a very loud volume, you’ll have to spend a little extra money and grab something like the Audioengine A2+ listed above.

If you just want a small set of decent speakers to use with your computer, though, then these are perfect. The sound is great for the size and price of the speaker, and they look pretty good.

Unfortunately they just don’t get very loud, which is pretty much expected with speakers of this size. My one gripe is that, similar to the Kanto speakers, the LED lights can’t be turned off.

6. SADA D-202 Mini USB 2.1

Pros

  • Built in subwoofer gives off decent bass
  • Best sound quality for the price
  • Very reasonable price
  • Perfect for general use – gaming, Youtube, movies, etc.

Cons

  • Short wires between the speakers and the amp-base unit, so may not fit some setups
  • Not good for music production, sound engineering, audiophiles, etc.

Overview

For about $30, these are the best speakers you’re going to find hands down. If you’re just looking for a nice, white set of speakers that you can use when you game, then these are the best option.

If you’re looking for something crazy that will immerse you into your game / show / whatever, you’re going to have to spend a little more cash, but for what these are, they are great.

The only thing you need to know about these is that they have three parts. The two speakers and then the base unit.

The two speakers plug into the base unit via very short cords, so you’ll need room for all three parts of the speaker in your setup.

If you don’t have a nice, clear area of desk space, you may have to go with another option like the GOgroove speakers below.

7. GOgroove Gaming Computer Speakers

Pros

  • Subwoofers built into the sides
  • Compact size
  • Sound is clear
  • Very affordable

Cons

  • Aesthetic is not for everyone
  • A little larger than some other options on this list
  • Sound can be too tinny for some

Overview

For this price, these are very good speakers. The sound isn’t going to blow you away but it’s not going to be garbage either.

To be warned, the sound is a little bit “tinny” but that may be due to the encasing more than the speakers themselves.

The subwoofers on the side help give these speakers a nice bass that you’re not going to find with most other speakers at this price point.

The aesthetic of these speakers is hit or miss. I personally like them and like how the LED is set up, but there are some people who may find it ugly.

The cable is about 5 ft, so it should be long enough for most setups. Overall, these are great speakers for the price but if sound quality is very important, then I recommend spending a little more and grabbing something higher on this list.
