I’m Eric! I am the creator of StreamersPlaybook 🎮
My site is dedicated to helping you get started streaming and gaming.
I began gaming when I was 5 years old on Super NES. I played all kinds of games from “Punch Out!!”, to “Super Mario Kart”, and many more.
After my Super NES days I moved onto PlayStation, then PS2, then Xbox 360, and then Xbox One. As you can tell, I’ve pretty much been gaming my whole life.
Although I’ve always been into gaming, I didn’t become interested in streaming until 2017.
In 2017, I got HOOKED on Fortnite 🏆
I was obsessed with catching dubs with my friends and dominating noobs.
In an effort to get better at Fortnite I started to study pros like Nickmercs and Ninja on Twitch. I would take note of their movement, their building, their positioning, and much more.
It was during this time that I became super interested in streaming. I thought it was so cool that not only could I watch these pros, I could interact with them as well.
After watching various streamers for close to a year, I finally decided to start streaming myself. I initially started streaming to Twitch from my Xbox One, and although my streams weren’t great, I was having a lot of fun.
Even though I was having fun streaming and gaming, I soon realized I had a ton of questions about streaming that I needed answers to.
For this reason, I decided to start the StreamersPlaybook website in 2018 so that way I could help myself and others answer questions we have about streaming.
Once I started this website, I also decided it was time to upgrade my setup. My Xbox One setup just wasn’t cutting it anymore. It was time to level up.
In 2019, I went over to the dark side, buying my first-ever gaming PC 🖥️
Not only did I buy my first PC, I also bought a nice microphone, a nice camera, a nice desk, nice headphones, and much more.
2019 is the year I became a “legit” streamer🤖
Since purchasing my setup I have tried to stream on Twitch at least 3 times a week. I have streamed a variety of games such as Fortnite, Warzone, and Fall Guys.
Not only do I stream, but once I upgraded my setup I also decided to create a Youtube channel.
Just like my website, my YouTube channel is also dedicated to helping both gamers and streamers.
Over the past several years I have learned a TON about streaming, gaming, and PCs. My goal with this website, and with my YouTube channel, is to pass that knowledge on to you.
The content I create on this website is based on my own experiences as well as my own research.
I make sure to thoroughly research everything I place on this website because I am very passionate about this stuff and I am here to make your streams come true!
As StreamersPlaybook has grown, so has our team. To help bring the world the best information for all things gaming and streaming related, I’ve enlisted the talent of two writers.
Our writers are tech-savvy internet natives who, like me, love gaming and streaming. Introducing our writers, Jake and Devin:
Hey, I’m Jake!
I got hooked on PC gaming at age 11 by playing the original Maplestory, a side-scrolling MMORPG.
I was banned from Maplestory at age 13 for hacking and botting my character overnight 😈.
After being banned from Maplestory, I began a years-long obsession with Guild Wars. Internet gaming was less developed at that time, so I would set up comms servers for my guild on Ventrilo and TeamSpeak.
Over the years, I’ve developed my early passion for tech and gaming into a career. In addition to writing tech articles, I enjoy programming and developing with popular technologies like Python, NodeJS, and ReactJS.
At StreamersPlaybook, I write lots of tech articles. Most of my content centers on PC components, gaming peripherals, and software how-to guides.
Although I’m mainly terminally online, I do have irl hobbies I enjoy from time to time. Among them are learning foreign languages, traveling Central and Eastern Europe, and swimming in the ocean.
Hi! I’m Devin.
But you can call me Dev. I’ve always loved computers, video games, and all things techy and nerdy 🤓.
I have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and have spent countless hours learning about all things computer-related – from web development to building the best gaming rigs my wallet can handle. I’ve also built several PC gaming rigs myself.
Besides PCs and gaming, I also enjoy anime and manga. I have my own website, checkinmanga.com, where I create content related to anime and manga. If you’re into those things, be sure to check it out.
I love talking to you all who stop by my website.
