That being said, not all gaming PCs go all-in on processing speed. The processor isn’t exactly the most important component in a gaming PC, that would be the GPU.

So, while gaming PCs are likely to be great for video editing, you’ll still want to double check that the processor in your PC has a decent clock speed and will be up to the task of rendering video.

A powerful CPU is perhaps the most crucial component for video editing. Some video editing programs have a recommended number of CPU cores for maximum performance, and not all video editing program is optimized to use 8 or 16 cores.

So, more cores doesn’t always mean better video-editing performance, since not every video editing program can make use of all your CPU’s cores.

Is A Gaming Laptop Good For Video Editing?
