Using a webcam while you stream really changes everything. There are hardly any popular streamers who get away with not using a webcam. Webcams make your streams more personal and engaging which helps draw people to your stream and helps them connect with you.
With that being said, having a quality webcam will take your stream to the next level. Why I Choose the Logitech BRIO Webcam
The Logitech BRIO is top of the line when it comes to webcams.
This webcam can shoot in 4k, has 5x digital zoom, is capable of autofocus and has a built in mic. Again, this is the webcam of choice for many big name streamers and so if you are trying to look professional then there really is no better choice in my opinion. I use this webcam and I love it.
Now if the price of the BRIO is a little too steep for you then don’t fret. There are other webcam options that are more budget friendly that are still pretty good.
Fair Priced Webcam that still gets the Job Done
If you want to have a good webcam, but not ready to drop some serious coin just yet, then I would recommend the Logitech C922x Pro Stream Webcam (click to check it out on Amazon). This camera can shoot in 1080p, has built in mics and also has autofocus.
Now if you are using a webcam with built in mics I still recommend using a microphone for a better quality sound, (go here if you want to see microphones that I recommend) but if you are trying to save money then the built in mics of the C922x Pro will get the job done.
A lot of streamers begin with this webcam because it is a high quality webcam for a fair price. If you want a good looking stream, but the budget is a little tight, then this is your best option right here.
A Budget Friendly Webcam
If you are unsure if you want to use a webcam on your streams or if you just want to test using a webcam on your streams then you want to go with a more budget friendly webcam.
If you are looking for a good webcam at a really good price then I would recommend the AUKEY FHD Webcam (click here to see it on Amazon). This webcam can shoot in 1080p, which is really good considering the price.
This webcam has a built in stereo microphones so you won’t have to buy a microphone if you don’t want to, but honestly your sound quality won’t be that great with this webcam since it has poor noise cancelling capabilities.
The major drawback to this webcam is that it is a fixed focus webcam and so the focus will not change according to your lighting or your distance away from your computer. This is why autofocus is great for streamers because it adjusts to the changes in the environment of the streamer.
The AUKEY FHD webcam has all your basics and is perfect for anyone trying to test the streaming waters. If you just want to get a webcam to get some exposure then this is a great choice.
If you are looking for another budget friendly webcam from a more recognized brand then the Logitech C310 HD Webcam (click here to see it on Amazon) is another good option.
This webcam only shoots in 720p, but it has a better built in mic with better noise cancelling than the AUKEY FHD. Like the AUKEY, this webcam is also fixed focus and so your camera will not adjust well to environment changes around you.
