What Is Discord Background Color?

Discord is an online chat service that has gained popularity since it’s start six years ago.

Initially a platform for game lovers to communicate, it’s since become a place where people with other interests can create and join communities called servers.

What Is Discord Background Color?

Discord’s background color in Light Mode is #ffffff, while the application’s background color in dark mode is #36393f. The Discord application does not allow users to choose a custom background color..

By default, users must choose between Discord light and dark modes. Alternatively, users can choose to sync the app’s appearance with their computer, which means the app will switch to dark mode at night and light mode in the day.

What Is The Background Color Of Discord Dark Mode?

The background color for chat windows in Discord dark mode is #36393f. In dark mode, #2f3136 is used as a darker accent color and text appears in a light shade of gray, #ffffff.

Many Discord users love the app’s dark mode as it is easier on the eyes than light mode and gives a slick feel to the application. Dark mode is especially ideal for watching games or catching up with members of your community at night, since it exposes your eyes to less light before going to bed.

Not only is dark mode easier on the eyes, but it also consumes less energy, thereby helping you conserve your battery. Dark mode is available on the Discord mobile app, as well as on its desktop apps.

What Color Is The Discord Logo?

Discord’s logo is a very light shade of gray (#ffffff) against a blurple (#5865F2) background. The logo’s icon consists of a light gray emblem of a game controller with two blurple dots representing joysticks.

The Colors Used in the Discord Logo

Since its establishment in 2015, Discord has had an attractive logo with an appealing color palette. The brand’s logo comprises a symbol that resembles a game controller with a smiley face and a logotype. Discord’s visual identity has enabled the platform to connect with its growing audience.

Over the years, Discord has kept a relatively consistent color scheme. While the color scheme itself is sleek, chill, and professional, the Discord logo represents what the brand stands for and what it is: a playful and fun company.

The new logo was part of Discord’s rebranding as the company marked its sixth anniversary. So, it portrays Discord’s independence (or “rebellious” spirit) in the contemporary world of the internet and its desire to allow users to connect and build communities.

Can You Change The Background Color On Discord?

You can change the background color on Discord — but it’s not possible to customize your account with a variety of colors like in other chatting apps. Discord currently only offers dark and light mode as customization options.

Discord does not allow users to choose custom background colors in the Discord application. While some add-on technologies allow users to change the application’s background color, these add-on technologies are not permitted under the Discord terms of service.

You can, however, change the color of your name or “Role” on Discord. To do so, you must be an administrator of the server to change your Role color. Regular server members do not have this capability.

You can also customize how you want your messages to appear by choosing either the Cozy (relaxed) or Compact options.

Since Discord doesn’t have a wide selection of themes, some users prefer third-party apps to enjoy more features. For instance, some use BetterDiscord, a client modification of Discord to customize their background displays.

It should be noted, however, that these add-on technologies may be in violation of Discord’s terms of service, so their use is inadvisable.
